24 Members of State Championship Team Sign to Play Next Year
The Class AAAAAA state championship football team had 24 players to sign National Letters of Intent or Letters of Commitment.

Publix Shopping Center Opening Soon
A $14 million Publix shopping center is coming to Colquitt County.
The long-awaited project will mean around 250 jobs and $40 million to $50 million annual retail sales. It also will add to the county’s ad valorem tax base and will impact sales taxes for the community.
CCHS Wins National Championship
High School Football America and Prep Force have awarded their 2015 national championships to Colquitt County.
The two-time Georgia Class AAAAAA state champion and winner of 30 straight games was ranked No. 1 in both sites’ final Top 25.
2nd State Championship
The 2015 Colquitt County football team, won its 30th straight game and collected its second straight state title, defeating Roswell 30-13 in the Class AAAAAA championship game at the Georgia Dome.
Colquitt Regional Launches Medical Residency Program
Colquitt Regional has launched Georgia South, a new Family Medicine Residency Program, in an effort to encourage young doctors to train and practice in South Georgia. The hospital received national accreditation from the American Osteopathic Association, and will begin recruiting for its first class of three residents that will start July 1, 2016. This program is only the 2nd residency program in Southwest Georgia, and the first in over two decades.

Colquitt County’s Cam Erving Selected First Round in NFL Draft
Former Colquitt County Packer Cameron Erving was selected by the Cleveland Browns with the 19th overall pick in the NFL Draft on Thursday in Chicago.
Erving, who started 42 straight games and won a national championship while playing at Florida State, is the first former Packer to be selected in the first round of draft.
Colquitt Regional Medical Center $30 Million Expansion
Colquitt Regional Medical Center completed a 66,000 square foot expansion that updated its emergency room and operating facilities.
The $30 million project also included renovating 10,000 square feet of the existing facility.
